One should make time for exercise and add it to their everyday routine. It would help us attain excellent physical and mental health.

There are many studies which prove that exercise reduced depression. It works as best as an antidepressant medicine without the adverse side effects. Having a regular exercise routine also prevents relapse of depression. Exercise is beneficial because it releases endorphins or the ‘happy hormone’ in the brain that energizes the spirits and make one feel good. Exercise also helps neural growth, reduces inflammation, and it causes positive changes in the brain. An exercise routine also gives one space in which they can relax and keep away all negative thoughts and emotions which make one feel depressed.

When one is under stress, a person feels tightness in your chest, a pounding pulse, or muscle cramps. You may also experience health issues such as insomnia, heartburn, stomachache, diarrhea, or frequent urination. A person’s muscles get tense which include the neck, face and shoulder muscles. One also suffers from severe headaches. Exercise releases endorphins which help one relax and feel good. The constant stress and its symptoms make a vicious cycle that one finds hard to break. So exercise acts as a way one can release stress and break this negative stress cycle.

When one is in trauma or suffers from PTSD, they usually relieve the negative moment repeatedly. They get stuck in one place, and this affects their brain negatively. They are unable to focus on themselves or their wellbeing. When they indulge in exercise, they will have time to think about themselves. They will feel good about their body and themselves. It would give them time to ward off all negative emotions. They will also have something to look forward to every day. It would improve their mental health.

Exercise helps relieve anxiety and stress. It is a natural anxiety reliever. It’s better to start doing exercise rather than start taking any anti-anxiety pills. When one exercise the good hormone that is endorphin is released. It improves one’s mood and helps one feel energized and refreshed. It boosts physical and mental health. It’s best to exercise in the open air because staying close to nature acts as therapy also. When exercising, one should focus on deep breathing. This way one would not focus on the negative feelings occupying their mind.

When one is feeling depressed, or under stress, they usually have lower self-esteem. It is what leads to suicidal thoughts. Regular activity is an investment in your mind, body, and soul. Doing exercise will help one’s self-esteem because they will feel better about themselves; they would feel strong and powerful. When one would fulfill the exercise goals they would have set for themselves would give them a sense of achievement.

Activity increases the heart rate. Increasing the heart rate 3 to 4 times weak leads to higher energy in a person. Start off with just a few minutes of exercise a day, and increase your workout as you feel more energized.
